Recently, the fuselage of Flight QZ8501 has been found in the Java Sea off the coast of Indonesia. This part, which is the plane's main body, will hopefully lead to some clues as to how the plane crashed, and possibly also lead to the recovery of more bodies in the coming months. 50 bodies have been found so far, and searchers are hoping to find approximately 100 more in the fuselage once they start searching on Thursday.
While there is a good portion of the plane, along with the black boxes being found, it still may take a couple of months to investigate and find out what had happened to cause the plane crash to occur. At least with these new discoveries, the families of the victims will be able to find closure and peace.
Stories like this scare me so much. They seem so sure that if a crash happens there is a way to help get everyone off, but recently I have only seen bad. I think better inspections and regulations for crew, planes, and emergency plans should be revisited.
